Reverse Osmosis

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is the latest technology to remove dissolved solids & chemicals in water. It is a process wherein water is forced through a semi-permeable membrane by applying strong pressure, thereby allowing only fine water molecules to pass through it. All contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, herbicides, heavy metals and chemical poisons are removed. Further in UTL RO, it is sterilized through Ultra violet rays, pure water is than collected in a container and dirty water with impurities is discharged separately.

Stages of Purification
1)    Sediment filter for removing suspended impurities in water like sand, dirt, rust, silt.
2)    Granular carbons filter for removing chlorine, color, smell, etc.
3)    Melt blown fine filter protects from residual suspended particles and enhances the life of membrane as well.
4) Water is split into two streams, using USA made semi permeable membrane. Undesirable elements of chemicals & biological impurities along with reject water are flushed out.
5)    Finally, the UTL Amrit Kalash has pure water, free from bacteria and viruses as it is UV sterilized after RO purification is done.
